Albuquerque-born Mark Weaver studied woodblock printing and graphic design in the 1970s at Washington University in St Louis, while earning a degree in architecture. He has continued working in his home studio through the years, and has exhibited in New Mexico at Harwood Art Center, Factory 5G Gallery, East Mountain Public Library, Outpost Performance Space, and Art Mozaik. Mark was selected Best Visual Artist in the “Best of 2020” issue of Albuquerque The Magazine.

The woodcuts are relief prints: hand-rubbed impressions on kozo (mulberry) paper using oil based ink, typically carved from scavenged wood pieces.
