Albuquerque-born Mark Weaver studied woodblock printing and graphic design in the 1970s at Washington University in St Louis, while earning a degree in architecture. He has continued working in his home studio through the years, and has exhibited in New Mexico at Harwood Art Center, Factory 5G Gallery, East Mountain Public Library, and Outpost Performance Space. Mark was selected Best Visual Artist in the “Best of 2020” issue of Albuquerque The Magazine.

The woodcuts are hand-rubbed impressions printed on kozo paper using oil based block printing ink, many of them carved using scavenged wood pieces.
